Born with multiple heart defects, Elizabeth required open-heart surgery. Her story, “Not Yet,” tells of how her family left their home to move to Arizona so she could have the life-saving procedure.
However, it was a tricky surgery. At the time—in the early 1960’s—no one that young had ever survived it. However, at four years old, there was no choice but to attempt it.
The operation was difficult, with Elizabeth’s heart stopping frequently. Her family waited anxiously, unable to do anything. All the while, she was revealed glimpses into the afterlife during her near-death ordeal.
“Not Yet” is my friend’s Liz’s story on how she met Jesus and what His plan for her life was. If you enjoy Christian memoirs, you should check hers out.
